Larry S. Wright, President. Mr. Wright holds a BS degree from Eastern Michigan University and is an Advanced Master Gardener. He founded the landscape-contracting firm, Wright’s Landscape Services, in 1976. For 9 years he also served as the CEO/President for a regional trade association in metropolitan Detroit and was on the boards of many environmental and industry groups. Lawrence was also certified by the Michigan Department of Agriculture as a Trainer for Commercial Pesticide Applicators. Member of the Rotary Club of Taylor since 1983, Lawrence served as Club President 1991-92 and District Governor from 1995-96.  He has also served as a Training Leader for Rotary International and a Zone Foundation Coordinator for The Rotary Foundation. He is a founding member of the Taylor Conservatory Foundation. He receives no annual compensation.

Hon. Geno D. Salomone, Director and President Emeritus.  Mr. Salomone has been a District Judge for the last eight years. Prior to that, Mr. Salomone was a practicing attorney for 16 years, with an emphasis on public sector law. Mr. Salomone also serves as former president and current board member for the Friends of the Rouge, and is a member of Taylor Rotary. Judge Salomone is co-founder of Taylor's Goodwill Garden and is an active participant in it’s continued development. Judge Salomone is a founding member of the Taylor Conservatory Foundation. He receives no annual compensation.

Patricia L. Donahue, Executive Director. Ms. Donahue is a founding member of the Taylor Conservatory Foundation, co-founder of Taylor’s Goodwill Garden, past president of the Taylor Garden Club, past director of Growing Hope and an Advanced Master Gardener. She has over 25 years of business experience in the profit and not-for-profit sectors. She is employed at Starfish Family Services, a non-profit in Inkster that serves underprivileged youth and their families. Ms. Donahue is actively involved in community outreach as a community organizer, educator, mentor and leader.  

Anthony Arminiak, Director.  Mr. Arminiak is Wayne County Community College President of the Downriver Cam-pus and serves as Provost for the Michigan Institute for Public Safety Education.  Mr. Arminiak holds a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University and obtained a Batchelor of Science degree from Siena Heights College in Health and Respiratory Therapy. Anthony worked in the health care field, and switched to his current vocation after taking a teaching position at Wayne County Community College. He has been an active participant in the community, through the Boy Scouts of America, Knights of Columbus, Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber of Commerce and church activities.  He receives no annual compensation.

Shane Anders, Director. Shane Anders is successful business owner in the community. He receives no annual compensation.

Laurel Blackwell, Director. Laurel Blackwell is a horticulturist for FordLand, tending to their commercial and corporate accounts in Dearborn, MI.  Her work for the past 15 years has included extensive annual flower installation, landscape design, woody and ornamental plant care and turf maintenance.  She is a self-professed plant geek, who enjoys teaching what she knows to other avid gardeners.  Her formal education is a degree in Botany from the University of Michigan; however she believes there is no substitute for studying in the field, and she strives to learn from her surroundings everyday. She receives no annual compensation.

Louise Doute, Director.  Ms. Doute brings a wealth of business and horticultural experience to the board through the establishment of a successful family-owned retail plant center, past president of the Taylor Garden Club, and many leadership positions throughout her strong history of community service. She is an Advanced Master Gardener, and also the Volunteer Coordinator for the Taylor Conservatory. She receives no annual compensation.

Eric M. Harris, Director.  Mr. Harris is a Professional Engineer, employed with Wade-Trim, a Civil Engineering Consulting firm based in Taylor, Michigan.  Mr. Harris' role with Wade-Trim is Client Manager for the City of Ann Arbor and the City of Hamtramck.  Mr. Harris' previous employment includes project manager for Ducks Unlimited, a non-profit, world leader in wetland conservation.  All together, Mr. Harris has been in the Civil Engineering field for over 11 years.  He receives no annual compensation.

Cheri Helms. Director. Ms. Helms is employed with Employment & Training Designs Inc., providing web design, technical support, re-search and development. Ms. Helms is an active Taylor Rotarian and past-president, and was instrumental in supporting the Taylor Conservatory Foundation as Rotary’s centennial project. She assisted in the original stages of the conservatory, and throughout its growth.  Ms. Helms served as Rotary’s Public relations chair, providing a weekly bulletin and event chair for numerous events; and led the charge to receive the “Frank Devlyn Public Relations District Award (2003 - 2005). She receives no annual compensation.


Elaine Fritz, Director.  Ms. Fritz has a long history of giving in the local community. She receives no annual compensation.

Dr. Donna Schmidt, Director. Ms. Schmidt is current president of Allen Park Rotary. She receives no annual compensation.

Rick Sollars, Director.  He receives no annual compensation.

James Wagner, Director.  He receives no annual compensation.
