The Taylor Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is strictly an open-air venue. Tent rentals are permitted. We book events from June through September.

Surround yourself and your guests with unparalleled beauty, The Conservatory, a 1/3rd scale replica of the Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory on Belle Isle in Detroit, is a unique and dramatic gateway to beautiful gardens, woodlands, large lawn area and stately pines. The Gardens are open to the general public but may be reserved for private events. The open-air Conservatory is the only one in Michigan and is filled with seasonal displays of flowers from May to October. The Gardens offer an experience you’ll remember forever. There are many areas for you to choose-from formal to casual, to suit your personality and style.

Our whole event went wonderfully well last Saturday. I can't say enough kind/complimentary things. All day long I received compliments from everyone attending about how beautiful Taylor Conservatory was and how perfect everything was. Your volunteer there was very attentive and spent all of her time making sure everything was coming together properly. She was all about the detail, especially in the tent, which was beautifully laid out by the way. Your employees and especially the guy in charge were wonderful in every way. They were constantly around, doing, tending and tweaking. And he kept finding me from time to time to see if there was anything that I needed to have done. I heard compliments all afternoon and evening about how wonderful and well kept everything was. Our guests couldn't imagine that such a wonderful venue existed that they had never heard about. I think that needs to change. People need to hear about Taylor Conservatory!
