About the Event

We are pleased to offer the second annual Good Thymes educational workshop and vendor market. Classes will be held at the Conservatory Under the Pavilion. $10 donation covers all three classes. You are welcome to attend one, two or all three of the classes.

Workshop basics:

10:00am “Birding Talk & Tour” presented by Natalie Cypher of Department of Natural Resources - Learn about and view birds and their natural habitats around the Conservatory grounds. Bring binoculars for an enhanced experience.

11:00am "Plants in the Moonlight" by Sabrina Deschamps, Community Outreach Interpreter – Science Project Facilitator, CIG; Huron-Clinton Metro Parks

Description: Why do we garden by the Moon? Do the phases of the Moon affect plant growth? Join me as we take a closer look at the ancient practice of lunar gardening. We’ll discover a variety of night blooming plants and ways to create your own Moon garden at home

Noon  "Growing Mushrooms in the Garden" presented by resident gardener Matt LaFleur

Good Thymes Market 11:00am - 3:00pm. Live music by Mirror Image and Chris Coe Music, food and beverages by Norman's Catering on the Bluestone Terrace. Good Thymes Market is free and open to the general public.
