Each year, the Michigan Green Industry Association (MGIA) selects an entity as the recipient for a Day of Service. This day allows lawn, landscape, and tree care professionals to volunteer their time and efforts, as a group, to beautify where people enjoy green spaces and give back. Since the event's inception in 2014, MGIA members have completed approximately 7 projects with the help of hundreds of volunteers, at an estimated value in time and materials of over $500,000.
On November 6th, MGIA will spend the day at the Taylor Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, completing work such as, bed cleanup, fertilizing, mowing, raking, tree pruning/removal and hardscaping. All of the items you will see this Saturday have been donated by member suppliers.
