Unveiling of Joy Squire Sculpture

Please join the City of Taylor, the Taylor Conservatory Foundation and Taylor Dance in the unveiling of the new sculpture in front of the Taylor Recreation Center this Saturday morning, November 2nd. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. and is free to attend.

The new sculpture and garden area are being created to honor the founder of Taylor Dance and Ballet Americana, Joy Squire. Parking will be available in the recreation center and the old Taylor Cafe parking lot next door. Refreshments and snacks will be available Presented by the Taylor Conservatory Foundation and the City of Taylor.

The Taylor Conservatory Foundation is excited to announce that we have allowed our Taylor Conservatory & Botanical Gardens to be used by the City of Taylor for part of the Taylor Winterfest Blizzard of Oz.

Beginning approximately November 5, our site will be closed off with temporary fencing to permit the set-up for this wonderful holiday event.

See for ticket information.  We expect the temporary fencing to be removed in mid-January.

Whether you want to get your hands in the dirt, or stay clean and help out in our office, or a little of both, we have lots of things to do in the gardens and office.

We need volunteers of all skill levels!
